From the moment you step inside, you are presented with an entertainers delight. The cathedral high ceiling teamed bamboo flooring and plenty of natural light, create and abundance of space and open‐plan living, while the undercover back deck never fails to bring the outside in.

The ‘Ash’ has a huge master suite located in a separate wing of the house, featuring an ensuite, a walk‐in‐robe that one could only dream of and private French doors opening out onto the back deck. It also features three more large bedrooms, all with built‐in robes.

The gourmet kitchen features full gloss polyurethane cabinetry, 20mm Caesarstone benchtop with waterfall ends to the island, glass splashback to the cooktop run and island bar, a walk through butler’s pantry and finished with quality stainless steel Smeg appliances. The industrial turn‐of‐the‐century light pendants hang over the kitchen bench, helping to separate the area slightly from the remainder of the open‐plan living, dining and lounge.

The remainder of the home is made up of a large family bathroom (tiled to ceiling) with a generous sized shower and bath, a separate split level Home Theatre Room and large double lockup garage with built‐in shelving.

From a structural aspect, the ‘Ash’ has asymmetrical roofing, finished with Colourbond and charcoal Scyon cladding, the exterior of the home keeps the eye occupied, while resisting wear and tear such as moisture damage, shrinking and swelling, and cracking. Internally, sustainable materials such as Hebel’s panel wall system were used, which is constructed from an autoclaved aerated concrete and offers thermal and acoustic insulation.

Being built on a corner block and having two sides of the house visible from the street, this home was an opportunity for the practical to meet the aesthetic. There are many interesting and practical features, which meet environmental requirements from all angles.

The ‘Ash’ has been cleverly positioned on the block, leaving plenty of side access, ample room for a lap pool as well as a play area to accommodate their future family plans. A must for the owners.
